So Joseph and I have our niece staying with us for the summer. She is the best 11 yr old an aunty and uncle could ask for. She has been so good for us. We have our week planned out, what we are doing, what we are eating, we are tons better at Family Home Evening, eating at the kitchen table, better eating habits and so much more.
One of the things we have planned for her, is teaching her how to cook. We spent one evening making a cookbook.
Then I had her pick one Main Dish, One Side Dish and One Dessert for her to learn to make. We printed those out for her book, then put together a shopping list. I shop for groceries all the time, but for some reason its alot more fun with a kid.
Angelica picked to make TACO SOUP for her main dish. Here are some photo's of our First time Chef.

Is that her Dora sippy? I'm glad she brings the important stuff on summer vacation? lol Oh wait. Its not hers...its probably Damens. DUUUH!
