Let the Nesting begin!!

Since we have found out the sex of the baby. I have had the HUGE urge try my hand at making CUTE baby items. I find myself reacquainted with my sewing machine, which is good. Here are the two items that just popped up in the last week.

I started with these Yo-Yo hair ties. (My first one so I defiantly have room for improvement) Still, I thought it was cute enough to try new ideas and perfect my skills.

Then today I got this itch to make booties. Here again is my FIRST attempt. I think they turned out darling, especially for my first batch. I have had this brown material for YEARS I just knew it would come in handy at some point.

I love the little booties, I can't wait to experiment some more. All I can attribute this new found love for sewing, is NESTING. We are moving in Oct. So I can't really get a nursery ready for the baby, so instead I'm focusing on making items for the baby. Which isn't a bad thing. It is good to develop skills, and be creative right!

Who knows what piece of "straw" I'll sew up next. :)

Wow, I am really impressed by the booties. Did you use a pattern, or just make it up?

Laura- I say at least try but they were so small it was hard to sew at times.

Naco- NO! These aren't for the Chihuahua that thinks its a child. Its for my actually HUMAN child.

Elesa- I wish I was awesome enough to just think up the design. I bought the pattern off of Etsy.com.
