Desert Gecko

So we are in the middle of digging up part of Joseph's Grandmothers Septic tank. BLAH! Over the years the earth has shifted the pipes. So the pipes need to be dug up and relaid. It is defiantly a work in progress.

I am 8 months pregnant and digging and I aren't friends. Plus, Joseph only has an hour of sunlight when he gets home from work. So we are SLOWLY getting it all dugged up. While we were digging we found a Arizona Banned Gecko. I had no idea there were Desert Geckos.

When I lived in Hawaii, there was a Gecko in my room, so I dutifully caught it, and was going to take it outside. When I was quickly informed, that it's GOOD to have a Gecko in the house because they eat the bugs. So I got used to hearing the Geckos running around the walls at night as I slept.

Compared to the Green Geckos, in Hawaii. This Gecko is desert colors, which makes sense. He was such a handsome gecko I had to take pics. So ladies and gentleman I introduce to you all, our very own Arizona Banned Gecko ...... Ta Da!

Pretty isn't he.

Of all home improvements to encounter, I don't ever want to deal with a septic system. You would have done well crossing the plains if you're doing that kind of work at the end of your pregnancy. yikes!
Cute gecko.

I'm mostly just moral support. I move small amounts of dirt but I wouldn't call it digging. Yea Septic Systems are JUNK.
