Baby Yo'sea Romo

Introducing

Yo'sea (yo-say-ah) "working on a middle name" Romo

Our lil'girl arrived last night at 10:10pm, weighing in at 9.7pounds (thus the reason they ended up taking me C-section), and measuring 20 inches long.

She isn't a little that is for sure. Yo'sea is already the apple of our eye. We love her so much. Bringing a lil'spirit to the world really is amazing.

I can't complain about the labor, they induced me because they were worried about my and her bloodsugar levels( I had gestational diabetes) and how big she was. I got to the hospital at 7am, they broke my water, with in the first hour I was having contractions every 4-5 minutes and they were lasting pretty long. Which was fantastic, I also dialated to a 6 really fast. I wasn't in much pain at all. I kept waiting for it to get really bad but it didn't until later in the day. Joseph was an amazing support, I couldn't of done it with out him. After a day of steady contractions Yo'sea still wasn't moving down the birth canal, the doc said her head just wasn't small enough :( . Thus the reason for the C-section. After finding out how much she wieghed I doubt her lil'shoulder would of made it out, even if her head ended up coming down more.

The C-section was very quick and again, I am so thankful for my husband, he stuck by me through it all and I feel very blessed. I'm thankful to be in charge of such a precious lil'one, and I look forward to getting to know her :) THanks for all your message of support. Joseph would read them to me as they came up. :)

Here are some pics!

Okay I just had to add...I showed the pictures to Sophia because she LOVES babies. She immediately got excited hoped out of my lap then kissed her (well the screen) the she saw Joseph and said "look mommy babies daddy!!" Then she said "hug daddy" and hugged the screen. Then she pointed to Joseph and said "nice daddy!" Then she sat down with a huge smile on her face satisfied that this baby had a happy home.
