Dead Cat

Yesterday I did a load of laundry. Since it was nice outside, I decided to hang the clothes on the clothesline outside to dry. So I walk out there with a basket full of whites, and I hear a breathing sound. I look down and there is a CAT, wilded eyed but not moving, and has a labored breath. I moved a bit closer, knowing all the cats in the area are wild, I was ready for it bolt. But, it didn't move. It just laid there looking up at me, with huge "HELP ME" eyes and it was struggling to breath. It was obviously dieing.

Ugh :( This poor cat grossed me out, I immediatly ran back in the house, and called my husband. I wanted him to come home and put this cat out of it's misery, and remove it from my sight. Of course he couldn't just leave work. But all DAY, i kept thinking of this cat, It grossed me out, It made me sad, it frightened me and ew :( . So I called animal control. I guess if it isn't a WILD ANIMAL they cant' do nothing about it being on my property. Why? What if I was an old lady or livign by myself. what am i suppose to do with this cat?

Anyway, it distrubed me so much. I didn't finish the laundry. I just avoided that end of the house in case I saw the cat from out of a window or something. When Joseph got home he took care of the cat for me. I have no idea what he did with the cat, (he did tell me it had two broken legs), I just know I can't see it. Out of sight, out of mind.

When didI get so squimish? I have no idea. But I am thankful for a "MAN" to take care of things during times like this. Maybe that is when I became incapable of handling something, is when I knew there was someone else to take care of it for me. Thus the reason I say, Marriage is some aspects made me a wimp :) A very thankful Wimp.

eek! haha. You are lucky you married someone that is willing to take care of that kind of thing (well, I did too, but I know plenty of wimpy hubbies)

Oh gross. Poor cat. But I wouldn't be able to put it out of its misery either...unless I have a gun, pre-cleaned and pre-loaded, I think.

Poor cat, it really was disturbing. Blah! and I sooo glad Joseph will take care of THAT sort of thing. Because I don't think I would of been able to too. :(
