Sew Bug

I got that Sewing bug again.

For some reason I didn't want to BUY those Newborn mittens, that are needed to keep the baby from scratching there face. I just thought they looked so simple to make, I didn't want to spend money on them. So this morning I made my first pair. I need to add a bit of ribbon but they are basically finished.

Who knew I would be one of those, " I can make this, why buy it" people. At least I am starting small. :)

oh!! great idea.. just don't make the elastic as big as the ones in the store, because they are forever falling off.

Ugh too late. I should just put the elastic on last, just wait until the baby is born to see how big her lil'wrists will be.

Very cute! Reminds me of when we sewed on our missions! We were a little nuts.

Cute!
I turned into one of those DIY people and it's gotten so bad that when Naomi saw a mini laptop at the store and asked me if we could buy it, I told her that we didn't need it. She said, rather enthusiastically, "Yeah! We'll just make our own!"

Crystal that's so cute. You know those Christmas advertisements are so geared to kids. Vee's lil'girl wanted some lil'game system, she was pointing and telling how she wanted it so bad. I asked her what it does. She shrugged and said, "its for having fun" Ha, that was one well packaged item.

DIY is cool....but DIFYS (Do It For Your Sister,or in Crissy case DIFYF is even cooler :)

Naco, are you hinting for Mittens so you don't scratch your face?
