This winter Salisbury Homes did a giveaway of a darling little play house for children. The family of there choosing would get the house with toys, and a Christmas dinner inside, someone entered us and my girls and I were picked!
You couldn't believe my excitment. I've had a tough year, and i've never won anything before. Anyway we were so excited my girls were a bit shy, Yo'sea was still recovering from her heart surgery (did you know Yo'sea had heart surgery? Well, she did and she is thriving! Doing really well.) so she wasn't her usual excited self.
This first pic is of the house, and the huge crane that was needed to get it off the trailer and in our yard
The girls love there little big house. It is big enough for me to stand in. But the door and windows are all pint size. the presents that they recieved were PERFECT for them. Dress-ups, princess stuff, barbies, Dora. They girls were spoiled, good thing they are such great girls or I would be scared of them become very unappreciative. As of now, they are happy with all that they got, and there are using there little imaginations more. Also, yo'sea has to dress up like a princess DAILY. :)
Also, here are some pics of Yo'sea in Pre'op, then right after surgery. She was a trooper, and doign so well. She is growing and gaining some weight. She finally has an appetite that I thought was in our genes, and she also has alot more energy. Three cheers for modern medicine, and Salisbury homes!
This is Allea, LOVING the hospital. If she had things her way, she would want someone to get hearty surgery everyday. I can't say enough how awesome Primary Childrens Hospital is. If any of you every want to get together to make quilts or blankets to donate let me know. I will find the time to organize something like that.

That house is so awesome. And holy cow. heart surgery? Why? I'm feeling all kinds of sympathy for you, but mostly I'm just glad its over. IS IT over? Is she all just fine now, or will she keep having to having treatments?
Wow, the house is adorable and I am glad your little one is doing ok. If you do the charity thing let me know. I crochet.
All I have to say is WOW! You guys deserved that little big house. I'm so glad those girls have you. I wish I had you in my life every day :). And heart surgery too. You guys are meant for big things in this life.
Thanks everyone, but Yo'sea is doing great. I was nervous at first but once we got to Primary Childrens Hospital I all fear dissipated. They truly are fantastic there. Yo'sea's procedure was a pretty easy fix. One doc said, "if you are going to have heart problem this was the one to have." And we LOVe our 'little big" house, I still can't believe we won it. :)
I'm glad she's doing well. My niece had to have emergency heart surgery when she was 11--a congenital defect they'd always thought was allergies up to that point. She's 14 now and doing fine. It's amazing how they can help kids with such conditions nowadays. And what a fun little playhouse for them!
Holy Cannoli. I am so glad you were picked. If anyone could appreciate & deserve such a generous gift, it would be you! Glad to see that your patient is healing well. I don't even handle it well when my kids have a fever, so I can only imaging how nerve-wracking it must be to have your baby under the knife. LOVE YOU!
Loving the house. I didn't know she had surgery. Speedy recovery to Yo'sea. Love you Jo.

Coolest. Day. Ever. So glad I was able to be there for that! Wish I could have been there for <3 surgery too. Love those little babes so much! You need to do a post now with the new kitchen furniture!
